Brother Pius Kelly was the
logical successor to Brother Denis Hyland.
·
Also from Ireland, he had
served with distinction as the sub-director of the school since January 1948.
·
A towering figure ,he was
a school principal noted for his high expectations of character, discipline
and devotion to duty in both students and teachers.

1955 – St Michael’s Primary School becomes a separate school with its own
headmaster.Two years later, we had two separate primary
schools Primary 1 and Primary 2.
